It's a very good school. I really learned a lot there and that in just 4 weeks. The teachers and everyone else who works there are so positive, nice and caring. And I got to know a lot of new people from all over the world. Therefore it's not only a place where you can learn spanish, but also a place to connect with people, to find friends and a place where you can go if you have questions or need help. I really do recommend this school and I hope I can also come back soon.

I just ended up two weeks at the Institute Intercultural de los Caribes in Santa Domingo. What a great experience! Great teachers Maria and Yulissa , great staff always ready to help you, and interesting city. Thanks to everyone especially Berenice and Luis for your warm welcome. I will never forget you. Hasta luego amigos!

I came to Santo Domingo and I didn't speak Spanish. After just nine weeks, I feel safe in everyday situations and can follow simple conversations and get involved. However, the Casa Goethe team teaches you more than Spanish grammar and vocabulary differences between Dominican Spanish and that of the Iberian Peninsula. It brings you closer to the Dominican culture and lifestyle, warns of dangers but also encourages you to get to know your country and its people. I was able to move around the city independently, also with Carro Publicos and Guaguas. For me it was a school of life that deeply shaped me and for which I will be eternally grateful. I heartily recommend her.

Such a nice school to learn spanish, to connect with other people from around the world and to get to know the Dominican culture. The whole staff of the school is so nice and from the first day you feel really welcomed. You have 3 hours of class in the morning, with the possibility to do extra lessons in the afternoon. They also offer typical latin dance classes very close to the school which I can highly recommend. In the afternoon, you have enough time to explore the city and eat out, go to bars, see some museums, there are plenty of possibilities. They also offer a program for trips around the city and dinners on some days. And don‘t hesitate to enjoy the nightlife, Dominicans are very open and really like it if „gringos“ come to the clubs and bars.

I would like to thank the whole team of the establishment of Santo Domingo. Thank you for their support, for their encouragement and their professionalism. I would especially like to say a big THANK YOU to Luis for his good humor that he transmits to others, his entertainment, his joie de vivre, his kindness, his seriousness and his good advice in terms of visiting the capital as well as for the addresses where to go out. . I particularly thank Berenice for her attentions, her professionalism, her good humor and her smile on a daily basis. Thanks to you I hope to see you again very soon I dream of it anyway.

The school was excellent! I spent 3 months in Santo Domingo and spent 11 weeks doing language classes in small groups. Already on the first day I found friends who should accompany me through the 3 months as well as through my learning process. Classes are held in groups of a maximum of 3 people. It is always a mixture of grammar and speech parts. When I traveled to the Dominican Republic, I was not able to say more than "Hola". When I returned, I was able to talk fluently to everyone without any problems. For anyone who wants to learn as much as possible in little time, this school is the perfect place!

I had the best experience at the IIC de Santo Domingo. First of all, our teacher Daritza has a great talent for explaining the complex grammar in a way very easy to understand, such as different tenses of subjunctive mood, and drills you to the teeth so that the information would have nowhere to go but gets burned in your brain. Also she spends quite a bit of time talking about the culture, customs, cuisine, etc. and backing up with the field trips she takes us on. She is really funny and entertaining. You’ll never be bored in her class. The culture at the school is very welcoming and marked with music, dance, and laughters, which I think contributes to the incredible synergy among the students there, something that I had never experienced before in other countries where I was studying Spanish for an extended period of time. Everyday during the 30-minute break we sit around the table, eating the fruit salad or pastries that the school provides and conversing in Spanish. In the afternoon or evening several times a week, Luis, the student facilitator, a fun person and great entertainer himself, organizes activities for us and makes sure that we have fun and are safe. Even during these outings we never stopped speaking Spanish so I really got a lot of opportunities to practice my listening, my weakest area. I had such a memorable time there and will definitely urge those who want to study Spanish abroad to check out the IIC de Santo Domingo.
